A Summertime Roseline Sturdy Amphitheatre wedding
When a client confirms the booking right away at our meeting, you know it is going to be a beautiful and magical shoot, and this is exactly the case with Lisa and Mark. The instant connection, trust, friendship were there the moment we met at a warm cosy cafe near their home. Needless to say, everything that Lisa and Mark wanted for their wedding falls in line with my favourite wedding theme - simple, intimate, and elegant.
My favourite part of Lisa and Mark's wedding was the venue where they tied the knot - the Roseline Sturdy Amphitheatre at UBC. I have shot many outdoor weddings over the years but nothing quite like this one. Being also an architectural photographer, I was deeply inspired by the crisp lines and bold shapes of the Roseline Sturdy Amphitheatre.
For the banquet, they chose another of my favourites in Vancouver, the York Room of Hawksworth Restaurant, located inside the historic Rosewood Hotel Georgia in Downtown Vancouver. The colonial elegance of the York Room creates a captivating contrast to the minimal and bold styling of the Roseline Sturdy Amphitheatre.
Both venues were decorated with equally stunning decors and floral arrangements by florist Flower Library and wedding planner Isobella. What a graceful wedding and what a fun and inspiring shoot I had, thankful!
